1.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: username, email address, password (hashed), date of birth (age verification only).
• Profile information: full name, age, gender, location, personality traits, communication style, beliefs, and life experiences you choose to share.
• Media content: profile pictures, voice recordings, video recordings, and other files you upload to train your AI model.
• Ingested content: documents, URLs, and other materials you submit to build your AI knowledge base.
• Chat messages: the questions you ask and responses you receive.
• Payment information: billing details processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers).

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, interaction counts, timestamps, and session duration.
• Device data: browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers.
• Log data: server logs, error reports, and performance metrics.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• OAuth providers: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from those providers.
• Stripe: payment confirmation and subscription status.

• To create, operate, and personalise your AI Verzion.
• To process transactions and manage your subscription.
• To authenticate you and maintain account security.
• To send transactional emails (verification codes, billing receipts, service notices).
• To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
• To improve the Service through aggregate, anonymised analytics.
• To comply with legal obligations.

AI Training

Your User Content (voice, text, images, documents) is used to train your personal AI model only. We do not use your personal data to train shared or global AI models that other users benefit from, without your explicit consent.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

• Service providers: cloud storage, AI inference, email delivery, and payment processing (Stripe). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only as directed by us.
• Other users: your public profile, Verzion interactions, and content you choose to make public are visible to other users according to your privacy settings.
• Law enforcement / legal process: when required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections.

All responses on VerzionAI are generated by artificial intelligence.

No interaction represents communication with a real human being. AI responses may be inaccurate, speculative, or inconsistent. VerzionAI does not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of any AI-generated content.

Where a Verzion is based on a real individual (the account creator), the AI is trained on content they have chosen to share. It does not have access to information outside that training data and does not represent the real-time thoughts or intentions of any person.

Legacy Verzions (Deceased Users): If an account holder is deceased, their Verzion may remain accessible to approved followers. Data will be retained until a deletion request is submitted by authorised next-of-kin or the account's privacy settings expire.

• Active accounts: data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• Deleted accounts: upon account deletion, your personal data (profile, voice recordings, AI memory, ingested content, and chat history) is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
• Billing records: transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by applicable financial regulations.
• Aggregate analytics: anonymised, aggregate usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"): request deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account directly in Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account.
• Portability: request an export of your personal data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection / Restriction: object to certain processing or request that we restrict processing of your data.
• Withdraw Consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To submit a verifiable consumer request, contact privacy@verzion.ai.

EEA/UK Residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing personal data is: (a) performance of a contract (account and subscription management); (b) legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, analytics); and (c) your consent (AI training on your personal content). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

VerzionAI is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact privacy@verzion.ai immediately.

Users between 13 and 17 should have a parent or legal guardian review these terms before use.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.
• Password hashing using secure algorithms (bcrypt).
• JWT-based authentication with token revocation.
• Rate limiting and brute-force protection.
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

VerzionAI uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication (session tokens) and user preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.

Essential storage cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the Service to function. You can clear them through your browser settings, which will log you out of the Service.

VerzionAI operates primarily in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from your country. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international data transfers.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through VerzionAI.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates when this policy was last updated. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
